Our Best Minecraft Shaders List takes a look at all the most popular shader options for the game! If you're looking to really give Minecraft some additional atmosphere, or just want to make some of the views in the game a bit more breathtaking, then it's a good idea to have one of these installed.
Minecraft's graphics are starting to feel their age a bit, so adding a shader pack helps give the game a much needed boost in the visuals. Forge makes running mods a lot easier and will save you sometime if you are messing around with changing things up in your game.
If you're going to pair this with OptiFine you shouldthen you'll want to make sure you have the latest version of Forge which you can download here.A cosa porta lassenza di dialogo
Once you've got that installed, you'll want to download a specific version of OptiFine. Go to this pageand then click Preview versions. Find the most recently added preview version and download that and then place it in your mods folder. If you don't do this, you will get a message that OptiFine is not compatible with that version of Forge. Most of these shaders require that you have OptiFine installed.
OptiFine is an important addition to the game that allows Minecraft to run much faster by giving you an FPS boost.

You'll find a button called "Shaders Folder" which will open up the area you'll need to drop the files into. Do not unzip the file you download, that is not required! BSL is another good option if you're looking for a shader to try out that will give you a more realistic feel to your game.
It gives your water an upgrade, as well as giving things a more ethereal feel overall by adding a bit of haze to distant objects. There's a nice cloudy sky and you just get a nice overall feel right out of the box. Download it here. If you're looking for a shader that is a bit lighter on the resources for your possibly low end PC then this is one of the best!
You can get some beautiful lighting, clouds, and night displays with Chocapic13's Toaster Edition shader. The only reservation I have about this shader is that it doesn't change the water, which is one of my favorite details when it comes to shaders. However, if you've got a low end PC and want some better looking lighting, this is one of your top options!
If you want to run the clouds with this shader, make sure to disable the default clouds or you'll get both and it looks weird! This shader is a lot more subtle than the previously listed BSL Shader, but can also be customized a great deal. If you want a heightened but traditional feel to the game, then this is worth checking out. Sildur's Shaders are probably the most popular around. These are the ones I see mentioned most frequently when someone talks about shaders.
They are updated very quickly after an update, and provide players with a variety of options regardless of the power of your PC. You don't have to go with the Vibrant version, make sure to check out the other options that might suit you better.
Continuum has a much more realistic vibe about it, where the lighting isn't as harsh and vibrant. It gives a beautiful overall look to the game, especially if you want a more realistic vibe with some beautiful lighting and shadows. Another beautiful shader, but this one in particular has wonderful water effects.
SEUS is a great one if you want more of that surreal looking vibe, as well as wanting to stare at some very beautiful water. If you still can't decide, the following video features a lot of the ones listed here in action. It has a lot of different comparisons, so it's a great way to figure out what you like.A new version of FFTPatcher is available!

Vanya Posts: 3, Logged. Holy crap, the bump map shader looks freakin' awesome!! I wonder how it would look on games with simpler or 2d graphics? Quote from: "Vanya" Holy crap, the bump map shader looks freakin' awesome!! I have no idea. It's a shader just for the epsxe emulator. I know of nothing comparable for the snes, nes or anything like that. I'll upload some pics of FFT and other games when I have the time.
BTW it looks freakin awesome on most games. Try it with Asteroid's and you'll think they re-released it for pc with upgraded graphics! Could you define "simpler 2D graphics"? I thought Gradius Gaiden and Symphony of the Night would have counted.
Simpler as opposed to 3D. Yeah they do count. Warning Like the original ps1 this shader use affine texture mapping, so if you apply a texture on a large quad you'll see it very distored. To avoid excessive distortion you have to add triangless to the mesh. As you can see the effect is better when the mesh is subdivided bottom left mesh instead of when the mesh have a low poly count top right mesh. Skip to content.

Our resident emulation enhancement specialist, Mozgus, has these words of advice:. From there, study each setting to better understand which ones are appropriate for which games.
Those with no video card should seek a software mode plugin. Since the options screen on these graphical plugins are filled with lots of technical terms and can be a bit intimidating, I asked Mozgus to provide us with the following screenshot of his typical settings….
There are also some other add-ons known as shaders that can give some very interesting graphical effects. Mozgus likes the Natural Vision shader, because it strengthens colors, anti-aliases the image, and adds a nice blur that hides numerous PS1 visual flaws which high resolutions will not heal alone. Note that the Shader Level controls the blur amount for the given resolution. If the level is too high and the resolution is too low, the picture will be blurred too much.
This shader arguably provides an overall pleasing look for every game out there. The set of filters and related information can be found at this phenominal thread at NGEmu. To get your imaginations wandering, here are some samples of what other custom shaders can do…. Of course, there are additional tweaks you can do for certain games to make them look extra special, but these settings should definitely get you started in the right direction.

What can I improve? All tips are welcome. Jenova Posts: Personally, I don't mess around with many settings for this particular emulator.
I've mainly just experimented with the ps3 controller scheme Image quality over fps! Favorite: Odroid Go Advance.
If you use 2x resolution use performance governor instead of interactive, though even with performance you'll have some fps drops in some games. I personally just use fxAA mode or something like that is called if I remmeber well Other choice is using pcsx core from retroarch with Enhanced resolution set to ON and together with some shaders like scale2HQ and some games look very good, mainly 2d games.
Thanks guys! Appreciate the replies. When I have 2x internal resolution Dead Or Alive is not "playable". FPS drops to 30 - 40 and everything is really slow I will tweak some more. This is my 3 main setup. A bit smudgy, but still looks great. No framerate drop.
Usually, I will tweak a bit more in each games and save the "game setting" individually. I rarely use 2x resolution as the game already looks fine on 5" screen. Dead or alive and most 3d fighting games works great on GPU plugins btw. The rest of the game I had 60 fps. Wich effects are missing? The only missing effect on I noticed at the moement is "Montion Blur" effects after the first FMV at the start of th game.
